It's a really good read, one I haven't had in a while. It has very solid writing _ it's not just about grammar and the stuff, you can tell the author's good the moment you read it. I like the characters introduced by the author and the way the story unfolds. It only has 10 chapters right now, but every chapter is pretty length, about 3 - 4 times the length of a normal chapter here in webnovel. All in all, the author have done an amazing job, and I hope he/she keeps up the great work!
Did he?
Wry? It shold be "amused". Feels like it fits the mc more.
Haaah. This is a pretty good read for me. There's not much comparison since there aren't many Arifureta fanfics out there but this one doesn't seem to be the wish-fulfillment fanfic where mc is the most handsome guy around and gets 10 billion girls. Well, at least for the time being. This fanfic has actual characters with emotions in them (yeah, this is my main judging criteria) and the plot seems to be progressing nicely. So yeah, 4.8 out of 5.
a "top-grade no-level restriction"? What's that?
I thought it was deacon?
Uhh, yeah. I hate to be the one doing this, but this fanfic... well, there's very little point in reading it. The content of the first 10 chapters or so (maybe more, but I didn't read further) is plain repetition of the previous chapters. The same content, the same format, the same formula, with just the topic being different. I can even see the pattern here: Mc is talented --> Mc learns a new thing --> Mc makes great progress in new thing --> People are in awe. Basically just that. In fact, there several words such as "grace" and "ethereal" which have been repeated so much that I noticed it despite not actively looking and trying to dissect the fanfic. Also, the reader feels extremely detached to the mc because, well, we know nothing about him asides from the fact that he is talented. We never see him conversing normally (day to day interactions), we never know his likes and dislikes, we can't see and feel what he's thinking, etc. Basically, the mc feels like an emotionless machine. I don't know about others, but I find him quite boring and basically skimmed over the remaining chapters. Asides from that, the grammar is solid and you'll find no mistakes there. At least I found none.
I still feel like it was a bit unrealistic. Sure, innate full spirit power may be a big deal but I don't think it would reach the Supreme Pontiff immediately. Perhaps he would be recruited into some sort of camp, where the talents are filtered out? Then again, my judgement may be wrong since there were quite a number of innate full spirit power in canon.
It's a pretty good translation, with some occasional problems, but nothing you can't ignore. I read the raw ahead, and it has some pretty entertaining moments. Sure, some things might get boring and repetitive but as far as I can tell, the mc uses his brain more than the typical fanfic. The author sticks to the rules they set, which means that there are no 'exceptions' made for the sake of the plot. The system feels a bit unexplained though. Nevertheless, an entertaining read and definitely a better one compared to the numerous junk out there.
Frost-Flame Art?
I didn't read the original BTTH so I don't know but why didn't he just swipe everything in that ring? I mean, the system allows him to store things so he should be able to steal everything from Xiao Yan's ring
