get it through your numb skulls that people are different, you're not the mc. People cope in different ways. some up their workload to not even think of the trauma, others want to keep their routine as unchanged as possible to distract them. Others mourn by grieving a lot or find it too hard to commit to responsibilities like working or going to school (this isn't necessarily aimed at you, just a lot of people who are repeatedly making comparisons etc.)
