I'm currently at chapter 67 and had to pause so that I could write this review. I love this story. Starting with a strong female lead with vengeance in her heart, I adore this character. The author provides action packed magical fight scenes and timely background information to assist with understanding and empathy. There is attention to detail in character descriptions, as well as world view. I'm going back to reading now. Thanks author!

The Duke's words and actions are exactly what I had expected. However, Isla surprised me. Where did all her hate go? Why is she acting all meek and helpless. Come on girl, stop being polite. This behavior lets the opponent know they can do whateverbthey want just like how Wayland acted. politeness = acceptance 😡

still wondering why the child is allowed to stay in the such freely? I can see this adding in somewhere in the future, but I can't help shaking my head at how stupid Dante really is. How did he hold the position of Duke? Did the emperor appoint him and say "I know your not qualified, but hey, who cares, we're friends". lol Looking forward to more Dante torture. 😘

This is a must read. There is a strong plot development and the characters are well thought out. The FL is in a pitifully bad situation that often brings tears to my eyes, but seeing how things are being developed and dealt with I find myself laughing at the jerk duke knowing that he will get what he deserves. Having said that, I really dont like the duke as a person, but that is what makes the story so good. Thanks to the author for such a gem. 😘
