I wasn't aiming him going to try and be powerful. That trope is used a lot. And I wanted to try to do something different than male leads going OP or having incarnated otome games as the female lead in novels. I wanted to twist things, and do something different. I am not going to say anything further about his parents, that would spoil the story. :)

I wasn't thinking of him becoming the villain, more of avoiding it. If that helps to understand?
