i think it's not that easy, he dipped his fingers in way too many things, and to be fair, the poison art is not an easy one. as strong as it is, it also is hard to practice. The wich in the epic plains was the overlord thanks to it.

i guess for the sake of plot advancement. the mc is not strong enough to face 3 at the same time, so using some writing magic called plot armor, he can aggro just one monster
