During this period of time his brain is in overdrive allowing him to keep up with information his eyes see, due to the loss of hearing, his brain allows him to help his eyes process much better like two straws connecting to his eyes from the brain. Because of the heart not beating, it adds another straw for his eyes to process much faster. And lastly, because of his massive control oh his body, he severs connections to his organs which allows the oxygen to focus on every muscle on his body.
