The MC needs to stop buying consumables. With all the points he’s spent on consumables, he could have bought the method for producing the items or potions, etc. that he used. That way, he’s not constantly wasting points Buying a scroll for a one-time usage of a spell of a contract? Buy the method and you can make as many as you want in the future. I hate when MCs splurge all their credits on buying consumables.
Want a way to use that new skill? Kill all of the friends you’ve made. Then revive them. Nobody said they had to stay dead. It just says you have to kill them. Stop their heart using something like lightning jutsu and then restart it. Just tell them you have a forbidden jutsu that requires the temporary sacrifice of someone close to you. You will only be stopping their heart for less than a minute then restarting it. With their temporary sacrifice, it will meet the conditions of activating the forbidden jutsu, granting power to use in the war. Allow them to see if it works. If it does, others will be willing to do it, too.
Against people like Itachi, it’s best to spam explosions, clones, substitutions, and traveling underground. If the person he’s fighting is always a clone, and it can explode as soon as Itachi gets close, it becomes a very annoying fight. I would just stay underground the entire time and not face him in person.
Why not take credit for it? He literally is the one who taught Kakashi the technique. I’ll never understand authors that will make their MCs constantly brag, but when it comes to the things that matter, they won’t brag. Inventing a jutsu and providing it to the village will allow you to potentially trade for another jutsu. Refusing credit is stupid.
I don’t like this hand waving of making impossible barriers as if she’s making a bowl of microwave popcorn. That sounds like something that would take decades of study and it’s not likely possible even from a master of barriers. A barrier that constantly shifts? Sounds unstable.
