i think it was necessary for us to know how he built himself up from the country bumpkin instead of just skipping ahead a year and he has himself established. I admit that it was definitely a change of pace compared to a lot of other books but I agree with a lot of the readers in saying that the mini-arc was a good arc and well written

Haven't finished it yet but all around I love the world building and character development, the main character just takes his life as is and makes the best of a bad situation and I love those types of books, can't wait to finish the last 200 chapters but all around one of my favorites that ive read on here
