I stopped reading a while ago... my mistake because I can't recall much so now to refresh my memory I am reading from the beginning... great. Maybe I will just skim.

I saw two comments that got me thinking. The first was about the MC forgetting her past so as to not hurt the ML and the second about her not leading him on. With regard to the first one, her forgetting her past life as in closing her heart to it, is not good solution as it will leave her in a bad place mentally in turn being even more detrimental to her future relationship. She should overcome it and learn to love and trust again however slowly it may take. As for the second, if she does have the intention of not actually being with him then she should not give him hope. Like when she said if he gets her to fall for him she will stay with him a few chapters ago when they were in the hotel or when she said the thing about the engagement possibly leading to marriage and love in this chapter. Both are examples of leading someone on, which for someone claiming she will not fall for him and just needs him is contradicting. All that being said, I think it has a lot to do with her struggling to admit she is opening, even if just a little, her heart to him. Her past is traumatizing and it showed in the scene were she cried when he pushed her onto the bed. She is scared. Anyway, I hope to see her grow as a person and overcome her traumatizing past. I also hope she realizes her heart.

I just re read this line and realized she shoved the shrimp into her own mouth, not his. Heart sank for no reason then. oops.

For some reason when I read this line I felt my heart sink. Maybe I have read too many stories were the ML was allergic to seafood and got sick because they got ate some anyway.

A grandson... ha, she is right and does not even not even know it yet.

This line got me in the feels. She was not born heartless and cold-blooded, she was raised to be. The fact that she considers herself naïve, pathetic and foolish for being a four year old who wanted her parents to care for her just proves that not only was she not born that way but was hurt and defended and protected herself by becoming, well, her current sadistic self. Obviously who she is now is frightening and horrible, but it is sad to see how she got there. Anyway, rant ending, thank you for listening to me overthinking and emotionally breaking down. I will continue reading now.

Wow! A lot to unpack from the beginning mostly characters an personalities especially the FL's. I am already so hooked. I am already really anticipating what is to come especially sense they have such unique characters. Side note: the writing and storytelling is really captivating.

When I first read this I imagined half his face was like Zero and the other half not (split in the middle). So... yeah, that was weird.

I can not believe that anyone takes her seriously. You either leave him or continue hugging him. You can not do both, that does not make sense. If she really meant her words would it not make more sense if she ran away crying or something, idk anymore.

I got really confused because I did not read the last part of the last sentence, I only read the part of "He is not any man" I was all like, 'he is not a man in her eyes?' Note to self: read before passing judgement and save myself from confusion.

I know this is weird and random but I was confused for a while because I read this line wrong. I thought it said mom not man.

I pretty sure that it mentioned something about her being made fun of when FL showed herself to be both beautiful and elegant (her entrance). Madam Cheng had said some things before her arrival about her character so when she looked calm and collected it made her look bad. So yeah... not a reasonable reason even the FL said something like they were definitely destined enemy's because she had not done anything, yet Madam Cheng already did not like her. Summary of the above: Madam Cheng is just trash
