(If Vahn had actually retained scars) This one here I got from battling a huge dragon down in the depths of a dungeon. This gash here was from a duel with a weapon master with access to all skills from the Land of Shadows. What? This scar right here? I got it from hugging a little girl.

I mean a +6 stat boost to attack is good and all, but you have to understand that critical hits happen only about 7% of the time(bar moves that increase this chance like Night Slash, Focus Energy, and Stone Edge). This combines with the fact that, in a competitive setting, a critical hit will have a good chance at knocking out the Pokémon, therefore rendering the ability useless. This makes the ability very situational, thus pretty balanced, even underwhelming. The effect is cool though in some instances like a Pokémon getting hit with a crit and then counterattacking with a +6 attack. (But then again, the most commonly seen Pokémon with Anger Point as a choice in competitive battle is Primeape who can be an absolute speed demon)
