Here is my point: 1 they do have a complex system of interpretable laws as seen with the case of Phloria(I think) it took quite a few chapters and she was mostly free to move around. If she only had god to defend her she wouldn't have been able to get help from the royals. The nobles couldn't have dragged it out so long either. Just the fact it happened means there system can be influenced and drawn out. If it were up to the royals it wouldn't have been long because she was on their side and was in the right. 2 just because it looks like systems we have had on earth doesn't mean it is. Their military is not just an army controlled by the royals. It is shown that military rank can be of similar value to Noble rank and that there is more to it than would have been in an actual midieval army. Then there is the mages association which has the power to topple Noble houses in order to protect magic users. The system is more developed or at least meant to look more developed than it's counterpart on earth. 3 Historical accuracy doesn't matter in fantasy. Salaarak(hope I spelled that right) wouldn't have needed to say that if it was actually a society from earth because yes that position wouldn't exist. But the griffin kingdom isn't the only one and there is nothing saying a known but not mentioned society has them. Guardians live for a very long time and she could have seen the rise and fall of a society with lawyers. 5 Science has had a major impact on society but they developed magic instead

This isn't in the dark ages or in midieval times. It is in a magical world where sociological advancement is practically a stand still due to noble's having power far beyond a normal human or having the backing of godlike beings. Civilians can't uprise because it isn't a matter of numbers anymore. On earth no matter how much power you have all it would take to stop you is people deciding you don't. Authority is allowed by those under it. Magic is part of the individual so a powerful mage will still be powerful even if everyone decided they wouldn't take their money or listen to their orders. This makes a very ridged social structure and with hundreds of years to refine it, I would bet people who could twist the rules on anything not directly controlled by a powerful individual would arrive. History is what happened but it doesn't mean that it is the only way it could happen. There are several modern inventions that could have been invented long ago but weren't. If you want some specific examples look up shadiversity's nail catch and the slingshot channel's instant legolas. Both could have been invented and could have changed history but weren't. Sure the change would have been at different levels but it would still be a change

Please don't use Earth standards to judge Mogar. All of the characters are old enough, for Mogar, it's weird they don't have full families and kids. Complaining about them using swear words instead of censoring it with words like bugger is just not in line with the lore. Plus they aren't speaking English and they certainly aren't from England or any other European country. They wouldn't use those words at all and the only reason they are using swear words we recognize is because Lith is from earth and can understand them in earth context. They probably aren't even considered that bad of swear words in a world where you can easily loose a limb by traveling anywhere. Having them as earth swear words makes it easier for us to understand. If it where close to what they actually said it would probably be like Battlestar Galactica or any other Syfy show where they just use some random made up words that are clearly recognizable but aren't our words. Plus having such obvious censorship for no reason just makes writing less fun. When it is necessary to avoid copyright sure but on swear words they would totally use it wouldn't be very good. My other theorys are that at the end of his previous life he was infected with the parasite but was compatible enough with it that even after death it always remembered the fragment that makes him. My theory- He was never from the present and the parasite which is perfectly integrated with him made an artificial world for him to experience to better prepare him for it's awakening. In addition the video game mechanics are to more easily portray itself. The reason he is the host and the parasite but is fundamentally different is because his personality is a perfect mix of theirs. He could have been forming in a mental world from the day his human child component was introduced to the parasite component. That would make him a whole greater than the sum of its parts. As for the future information, I'll use an anecdote. Some people believe they dream the future. I have all kinds of stories from my mother's side of the family about it and have experienced it myself. I don't believe I actually 'see' the future with them. Anyway if a human can experience that then what more for an alien parasite that harmonizes with and upgrades it's host.

It would help for the second attack. Light based attacks would be too fast to block with a shield not always active but if it turned on after she took damage it would have bought lith time to save her. He is being pulled in many different directions for his training but he clearly wants to protect those close to him as his highest priority. So focusing on something to buy even the slightest amount of time would make sense

Light and Darkness are usually not sealed by arrays as we learned in the plague arc. With how rare light masters of any kind are though I feel like the assassin is either a well payed beast or awakened. Also Lith is pretty dense. With his obsession with their security he should have made some kind of light mastery shield even if it's a weak 1 or 2 hit thing to buy some time.
