DNF This story was pretty good for a while, until her secret was revealed. Suddenly the "strong and capable" FL is a pathetic weak mess that can't even stand up to her extremely messed up and mistrusting husband. Honestly, even though the ML went through with her execution in the first timeline, I was willing to give him a chance. Until his reaction when he found out her secret and was forced to marry her. You know your SO had to hide her gender to get into the school, but you still rail her over the coals for lying?? Not only that, you refuse to listen?? Then you say she forced you into marrying her WHEN SHE LITERALLY RAN AWAY He's so toxic it's not even funny. Yeah, she might've been a spy. Something that could've been easily figured out IF HE TALKED TO HER. Honestly, I hate this classic trope of the FL having to conceal her identity for various reasons and the ML being a COMPLETE fucking asshole about it instead of thinking, "oh, maybe she had a good reason. I should support her AS IS MY JOB AS THE ML." Like, are these the standards for MLs these days? Let him treat you as his emotional punching bag because you lied to him about something small that could've easily been resolved đ Not to mention me losing any respect for the FL because she's literally one of the most pathetic and weak minded heroines I've ever read. Yeah, she's definitely "strong". Enough to get locked inside the palace and get kicked out of the bedroom on their first night. And still going back for more. đ I would've thought she'd at least been like bye bitch to the ML after that. Or at least made his life hell by teaming up with his brother. That would've been a lot more refreshing. Rather than going back for seconds after being his emotional punching bag the first time. Anyway, great story! The first couple chapters at least. Maybe it picks up. I dunno. I'm too tired of both characters at this point to really want to root for either of them.
How is it true? His opinion about the women is subjective at best and idiotically judgmental
... attend to." Yin Mo* smiled gently. ".. * correction
This is getting more and more ridiculous by the second. Though hilarious
I want random memories that tell me how my life is going to end up too đ
cue surprised Pikachu face but seriously, why give your all to a man for some revenge? it's like you wanted him to benefit in the long run
as a child of constantly arguing parents, that thought becomes so ingrained that divorce becomes your ideal type of relationship
is it bad that I ship them now? Like, that's so heartbreaking. But who would you forgive if not the person that you love? I hope Gunan gets some form of redemption (it helps a little that the Gunan in the first timeline is, in my eyes, different from this one) Gunan and Lu Jin:
đI second this
right??? what is it about Dukes and the North?? And in so many of those, the Royal family is afraid of them? like?? And they're considered "evil" throughout the kingdom and yet the least abusive (although I doubt that in this case)
The crazy obsessive guy is right tbf. The ml is really getting on my nerves. I wonder if Lily can kill him? or like just drug and imprison until her plans get sorted out cause honestly...
I feel like Lyrica is getting really creepy now. If she was a male best friend, he would go straight into the creep zone
Drop this book after the flood arc. I guarantee you'll be saving yourself a world of pain and frustration. Tbh, this book is good, for a while, and the characters are pretty good too. Until the ML disappears after a flood. Looking back, I think that was the optional time to stop reading it. Because when the ML comes back, it's like everyone's IQ has dropped dramatically, and the ML and MC get into these incredibly stupid scenarios that are just there for... angst, I guess? Angst and drama. When the ML comes back, his passiveness to women has kicked up to the point of stupidity and having no boundaries, despite being in a relationship. And this turns into a scene about him letting this chick into his car that sets off an incredibly stupid plot point for hundreds of chapters, for nothing but drama. And what does the MC do? Forgive him for having no boundaries, of course! Not to mention get kidnapped easily and disappear for months with the ML being *completely unable* to find her (despite being a world class hacker? excuse me?). Ughhh. Honestly, do yourself a favor and drop it before you start hating the ML like I did. Just pretend everything worked out and the ML didn't became a useless loser in the last thousand chapters.
