Damn, what a cliffhanger
Bit of knowledge on everything and master of non would not help him once he reaches higher realms. And if you think about it nature is life and in a way also death, the harmony of the cycle. Pride is useless in the face of absolute power.
Something tells me that his help is exactly the one Emery needs to get to that 50/50. I hope he can become a Grand Magus before the fight with Chronos. During it will be impossible considering the Grand Magus realm breakthrough we already saw.
To destroy the system there will be innocent casualties, to save it may mean nothing will change. It's impossible for a system to be incorruptible. The most you can do is mitigate the corruption as much as possible, and even the there will always be someone unhappy with it. I believe this choice has more to do with Emery's ascension to grand magus. 3 futures, darkness core overtaking and losing himself to the star devourer impulse of destruction. Nature core overtaking darkness and losing part of what makes him so powerful but becoming a hope for some. My favorite, true balance between his nature core and primal core, becoming an unique existence able to destroy and save those deserving. Balance is the 3rd hidden choice to this question. There no light without darkness, no evil without good. Balance is the true change.
It was the High Elfs, the Dark Elfs betrayed the High Elves who where trying to stop the corruption. There's also the wood elfs who help Emery.
I can imagine the Yggrasill shiting bricks as he sees this transformation and thinking "what have I done"
This could be considered cruel and unusual punishment you know.
God I hate having to wait another day to find out what Kami was referring too. With my luck, he'll switch to Solus viewpoint tomorrow.
You did the right choice with the battle. The patriach is a supreme being and Emery is not even a grand magus yet. It would have been too much.
I kind of suspected Emery was going to end up transforming to the primal wolf. Can't wait
