Now that's an interesting take you got there! I'll let you continue cook that take for now đ
Thank you for observing this! :-) I tried to incorporate their mythological backgrounds to a certain degree!
You better be... These dads need to take a back seat đ€
Famous last words...
Oh no o:
The author uses flowery language that is typical for Chinese novels. I really loved it! I wished more authors would write this poetically. There were some grammar and spelling errors that threw me off, however. The protagonist cones off as quite an unlikeable (to me) brat, but that will probably change after his transmigration đ The story is dense (despite the flowery language!) and mirrors the atmosphere and protagonist's lifestyle. The legend used as a story hook is beautiful and creative. Please keep up the good work!
This is a stellar novel! It starts slow which allows you to understand how important the MC's relationship to his mother is. The character design is 3-dimensional and doesn't lose itself in tropes. The moment things start to pick up, I first thought it was going to be something akin to the Planet of the Apes, but the plot twist was surprisingly refreshing! The writing is good, you can see the author is experienced in describing both feelings and atmospheres. The action scenes felt grueling - in a good way đ Keep up the good work!
I really love how sassy and self-confident Ferrin's mom is!!!
Lol I read that in my mother's voice. The memory đ©
Super intriguing premise. The author has woven folklore and mythical creatures from all around the world into one, which I like a lot! They also take the opportunity to explain the "main chapter creature". I didn't think any chapter was scary at all. Rather, I felt, everything was magical and wondrous - perhaps because I'm a mythological creature fan myself and knew almost every type of "monster" the author introduced. đ The changing perspective between characters is surprisingly easy to follow and has never been an issue during reading. On the contrary, it provides better insight to the situation at hand. Some chapters are long and story-driven, others are more poetic, displaying the excellent writing skills of the author. However, there is a plethora of characters introduced on top of the creatures which made it difficult to not get confused. Introducing new characters late into the story was also a little challenging for me, as I felt their introduction was rushed. It could have used one or two more chapters to narrate the broken relationship mentioned in ch30 instead of squeezing it all into a footnote.
