This is a really solid book. I had a few difficulties starting it but I am really glad I stuck around. The middle of the book when Afton is exploring the Mohave, building his skillset and team, all the while kicking ass is definitely my favorite part, but all around an enjoyable read. Good job Author!

    alrighty then

Deciding to share this wondrous news, I move towards Cersei. Tyrion's arrival actually works in my favor. I need a scape-goat to direct Cersei while I attempt to teach Joffrey how to channel his inner sadist into something productive for the kingdoms.

    massive understatement

Slate has been pushing me to take the role of watch commander since we arrived. Seeing how desperately Cersei wants to put distance between Joffrey and me, Slate wouldn't have any trouble convincing the queen to appoint me a newly vacant position.

this is what Lannister silence is like

The silence stretches on less than a minute before Joffrey can't take it and caves. "I see buildings and smallfolk," Joffrey finally answered.

    i just like this GIF

Once Joffrey takes the blunt swords from my grasp, I move over to my sword and refasten it around my waist. Armed once again, I begin to make my way up a flight of stairs leading to the wall of the Red Keep. The hurried steps of Joffrey signal him catching up to me. Judging by the sound of his breathing, I can tell he's trying to use the breathing technique I showed him. I will say he's teachable. He's also a cunt, but a teachable one.

Joffrey knew it would not be easy or pleasant. But the day he stood over a broken Lancel Lannister... It would be worth every ounce of suffering he was forced to endure.

u can be straight and still appreciate the beauty of the same gender

Noticing my approach, the Tyrell heir removed his helmet. I have to admit that Loras is exceptionally handsome. His hair is a mass of lazy brown curls and ringlets, and his eyes are a light shade of brown. I can easily see why many women are smitten with his looks and charm.

that is true. however right now she is an innocent child. he has no problem raising his sword against an enemy woman, just not a girl.

I have no love or infatuation for the Mother of Dragons. I would feel the same way no matter who the child was. It just doesn't feel right.

Seeing that Tywin is content to remain quiet. I answer Jaime with a shake of my head. "Loras is the Heir to Highgarden and the future Lord Paramount of the Reach. Myrcella will be expected to live in Highgarden, thus limiting the amount of influence the Tyrells have in King's Landing. And Tommen will most likely never be the king."

Ser Barristan smiled at the young man. "You just may become the youngest knight in the history of Westeros," Barristan said. Reaching over, Ser Barristan grabbed Lancel's wrist and hoisting his arm into the air, to the overpowering shouts of the crowd.

im pretty sure it's a month and ten years

The Lord Paramount's face confirmed who Ser Barristan's opponent was. Lancel Lannister, a boy of one-and-ten and the presumed heir to Casterly Rock. To make it to the final match in a grand tourney spoke volumes of the boy's potential. Of course, this wouldn't stop Barristan from trying to unhorse the boy.

Prince Joffrey's eyes were half-closed as he enjoyed his mother's fingers gently moving through his hair. The prince was a beautiful boy, having many of the queen's own features. He would undoubtedly be handsome.

It's like the lid of the scabbard.

The only difference I made from Brightroar's hilt, other than the size, was a heart-shaped rain-guard. The smith said he would need three days to construct my hilt, and then I would need to bring Lionheart to the smith to be fitted with the hilt.

Not so. If T rises above L, that mean T is superior.

While this looks good for me, I would be more than welcoming if Tyrion wished to compete for the lordship of Casterly Rock. He has a long way to go, just to repair the years of damage he's already created, but I believe he would still offer a bit of a challenge. And if, by some twist of fate, Tyrion rises up to actually earn the right to be lord of Casterly Rock over me, then all the better for House Lannister.

Using his hand on my shoulder to turn me towards camp, we began to steadily return to the tents. "He was most likely aware, but even if he wasn't, it doesn't matter. There are consequences for murdering those under our protection. He shall be a reminder to those with short memories." My father said. "Now, tell me truthfully, have you ever had a glass of wine?"
