32 chapters in and I’m enjoying the story for the most part aside from the “cultivators don’t care if they’re related to someone a man is a man”. Basically every chapter at this point has something about the mom, aunt and sister wanting to hook up with the main character… their son, nephew and brother (respective to each individual character). And I know that the novel had the Romance tag but I wasn’t really expecting it to be as… up front.. I suppose but I’m hoping the author drops the family plot, in that sense. Apart from that it’s pretty decent. The writing is good, the story is interesting. It’s still early in the story with currently around 70 chapters hopefully the author doesn’t abandon the story.
Yeah but in reality not much time has passed, at most several months. With how slowly the divinity points recharged on all those items I doubt he would even get a whole point. So would that even make it worth it?
All the criteria for this story is at least 4 stars in my opinion but after chapter 40 the rest of the story is locked behind privlaged reading despite there not being an update for 3 months. If the author decided to stick to this (or apparently any story they’ve written) I would recommend but don’t waste your time. Decent story that’s far from being finished just abandoned for seemingly no reason… or maybe there’s a note about it on chapter 50 but I‘m not paying 20+ dollars to solve that mystery.
Although the artwork is good and it contains most of the main points of the original novel (so far) I can hardly get over how different it is in so many ways as well. From characters both artwork and names, weapons and armor to beasts being different from how they’re originally described... it looks good but I just keep thinking to myself “that’s not how I remember it”. You would think that because this is pulled directly from something that has already been translated and published online that the terms for things would be the same as well but that is apparently incorrect “sacred-blood” is now “heavenly-blood” and “jadeskin” (one of the most prevelant abilities Han Sen has) is now nuclear bone hardening (or something similar). Overal my point is the the translation seems worse or lazier than the original. If you want to look at pretty pictures and get a gist of the story than the comic is for you… but if you want the full story where your imagination can take hold and sore then read the novel.
