Oh, I'm 99% sure eating something as greasy as fried rice with an upset stomach is 100% a bad idea 😶
A little bit of sweet talking and a touch of fishing for sympathy got him an extra large container of beef broth, the kind they used in the wonton soup. Delivered to his door along with an over-stuffed box of the best shrimp fried rice in the city. Ryan slept through the delivery. Scott decided the best course of action was to go ahead and eat. He was hungry after all, and it was already past when he usually had dinner.

Scott's eyes fluttered open. Both of them were blushing, though it was more apparent on Scott's pale complexion. There were stars in Scott's eyes, and you could practically hear the angelic choir singing in his head.

Scott tried several more times to try and buy something for Ryan. No clothes, no candles, no jewelry, even Build-a-Bear was turned down. He's never had a partner refuse Build-a-Bear. It was the most romantic early dating activities he could think of. It's been a year or two since he's dated anyone, maybe that sort of thing fell out of style?

Three hours, fifteen minutes until the date. One hour to dress up and get there. Two hours, fifteen minutes of sleep. He triple checked his alarms. Two hours, ten minutes of sleep.

himself that even if Ryan never ever wanted to talk to him about it, that was okay. Even if he was really curious. He thought back to the way Ryan said "I've never been able to get pregnant," and how relieved he sounded. It certainly hit different now.

Omegas make up less than 5% of the world's population, and only about 1% of them are born male. Omegas in general are looked down upon as the lowest social class, and have only recently, as far as political timelines go, been given rights as citizens. The collar he wears both labels him and keeps him safe, but it doesn't make life easier. He doesn't need any help. He's perfectly capable of supporting himself, in spite of what he is. Sure, there's not much room for luxuries, but it's an okay life. No time for romance. Well, maybe just a little...
