This in it’s entirety, is an insult to the source material. It lacks the depth, the detail, and the charm of the novel. It sorely lacks in its ability to make characters multi dimensional. Not to mention the lack of detail when it comes to even his escape and that section of the story in general. It was one of the first indicators to Han Xiao’s unique characteristics, and thinking. It displayed what made him a good character. Overall, this adaptation is sadly far below what I hoped this would be
