Rey waited for Amiel to return. He didn't expect him to return so soon though, and with a girl by his side. She was dressed in all black bore a strikingly resemblance to Amiel. "There you are Rey, this is my daughter Sarah!" Amiel had a big smile on his face after being reunited with his Chile. "I haven't seen here since she was your age Rey. How long has it been? Two...three years?" He asked her. "More like six father, I've been able to cultivate for a few years now. Did you get any of my letters?"

There will eventually be challenges in the future! I can't say what I have planned as it will spoil future chapters but I will say, to become who he wants to be, he will have to do things that could cause him some great pain!

What it is, is that everyone has an attitude towards a certain weapon over others that is set at birth! If you're aptitude for swords is the highest, you're a swordsman! Same with the others besides tank and mage! Mage is about magic and tank is about your physical body. Eventually I will have an auxiliary chapter that better explains everything in depth but right now I'm trying to progress the story!
This leads us to today. Today he is going to the adventurers guild to register his name. It is a relatively easy process, you write your name on a piece of paper and one of the mages checks your class and magic affinity! There were 6 classes that you could be registered as right off the bat: Swordsman, Thief, Archer, Mage, Tank, Beserker! The swordsman is the most common class and nobody really wanted to become one. The thief was a class that everyone wanted to get because of the special skills that come along with it. People who preferred to keep distance chose archer, people who wanted to be at the frontlines and keeping their allies safe would choose tank. Berserker was a class that had a high damage output but gave some unwanted personality traits. To be a mage you have to have a very high magic affinity, making it the rarest class.

I'm sorry you feel this way but that is just how it is. I'm glad you read it even though you dont like it. This is kinda how these stories work out. Most stories like this have the same amount of clichés, the difference is how fast I put them in. I put them all in around the beginning while others spread them out.
Lisa grew worried and had a horrified look on her face. She recognized the aura, she had sensed traces of it on Gory. It was Dakota's! She immediately told the teachers who it belonged too and their eyes grew wide. They realized that he was losing control.

The Paladin of the Love Goddess

Samaris came from an isolated village full of elves who worshipped the goddess of Love. They believed that the first person of the opposite sex you lock eyes with is who you're destined to be with for eternity. Due to this, children were made to wear blindfolds until they became of age at 15 where a ceremony was held to reveal their destiny. The woman that he saw was gorgeous beyond measure, as were all the elves. They would live the next 10 years together where she would become pregnant with his child. Unfortunately, his wife became very ill while pregnant by unknown means. No cleric was able to treat her illness, and she perished. Within 6 months of learning he was going to be a father...he lost the love of his life and child. Elves live long lives, but not all of them make it far and the elders knew this. They're traditions state he would have to wait 5 years, and he would undergo the ceremony again. Three years into his wait he pledged himself to the goddess and became a paladin. This didn't mean he couldn't attend the ceremony anymore, but it also didn't mean he had to. Now having to where a blindfold again he had to hone his senses to become a proper defender of the goddess and village. He then set out to spread the name of the goddess and forget his fallen loved ones. It's been almost two years since then and his ceremony date was coming up. Struggling to decide, he took one more quest before going to make his return.
