He was a 13 year old kid who was being manipulated by Danzo. The Uchiha were about to start a civil war which he was unable to find a way to stop. His choice was civil war which would tear apart the entire land of fire, possibly even igniting the 4th ninja war. Or killing off everyone involved. Obito offered to help and itachi probably knowing he couldn’t do it all alone, teamed up and simply didn’t stop Obito as he didn’t know whether or not he could. Remember he was 13, even if he was a smart kid, he was still a kid and felt extremely pressured by the decisions on his shoulders. If anyone is to blame for his actions, it is the Uchiha elders, his father, Danzo, hiruzen, and there friends. They were the ones forcing a 13yo to be a double agent.
I mean, I'm not there personally, but I know that there is something like making allies, if he thinks he can't handle the pressure, why didn't he meet other clan heads like the Nara or something? I don't want to know what made him do what he did, but if it seems like it's about to follow the same route in this timeline, I'ma snuff Itachi out before snuffing the ones fueling the rebellion. - Clutch_Shadow21dCommented

Nope, it is exactly that. This scene is from filler so while that looks like indras mangekyo, they modeled it after Sasuke’s to further imply the fact that he is a reincarnation of Indra. His canon mangekyo is actually similar to the uzumaki spiral. Like the image below.

Access doesn’t mean it is always in the front of his mind. He can probably use his inner world to look back on all his memories, however when he is outside, he only has his normal memories.

It could also be a derivative of hard block, and soft block. While hard blocking is with rigid motion and using your fist and forearm to absorb the hit, soft blocking is using a fluid motion and palms to direct the force away from you.
The gentle fist is not really gentle per se. I wonder why it was named so. The series of palm strikes I taught her was anything but gentle. Zero gravity and no wind resistance , so he can accelerate to a speed far faster than he would ever reach on earth. Not to mention he said he could already move at the speed of lightning several years ago which is 270,000 mph, which would allow him to reach the moon in 55 minutes. And that was before the time skip.
I didn't have to travel all the way to the other side just to find the moon. All I had to do was just fly up, and when I left the earth's atmosphere, I immediately spotted the moon a fair distance from me.
