The day after my arrival at the village, I decided to spend the day getting to know the villagers.

All the men in this village are farmers, and hardworking ones at that. They all wake up as early as possible to tend to their land.

The women take care of the house and take care of other necessities like fetching water and other miscellaneous work.

The children on the other hand just run around the village playing or doing nothing while the sensible ones helo out in the way they can.

You and some other young boys around my age help out on the farm or do other heavy lifting work.

As I was observing the villager's work, I noticed most of them looking at me weirdly but no one seemed to want to approach me.

I decided to walk toward the farm area to see if I can help out somehow. I have never done farm work before but it can't be that difficult.

On my way there, I was stopped by a little girl around seven years old blocking my way and also looking at me weirdly. But I could notice curiosity and amazement oozing off of her.

I stopped and stared at her too, wanting to know her reason for stopping me. Not getting any replies, I decided to ask

"How can I help you, little girl"

"You can see me?" She asks in childish curiosity and excitement.

She looked as if she found a new toy or something. I could practically see her eyes shining.

"Of course, I can see you. What do you think I am? Blind?" I ask.

"Mhm mm," She nodded and continued, "Everyone thinks you're blind. You're covering your eyes so you cannot see. But you're walking well. How do you do it?"

Now I realize why everyone was looking at me weirdly. It was because of the blindfold I'm putting on. It's not like I need it or anything. I just want to look cool and also hide my Dojutsu. Though it's majorly because I want to look cool.

"What is your name, little girl?"

"Ria. My name is Ria"

Looking at the little girl looking at me with curiosity, I felt she was strange. Of all the people in the village, only she had the nerve to approach me even if I am a stranger.

Deciding to entertain the little girl, I bent down to her level and said "This is the power of chakra."

''What is a chakra?" She asks.

I put my hands on my jaws and pretended to ponder before I stood back up and postured like an expert with my hands behind my back, I said.

"Chakra is the energy that runs through all humans as the mixture of both their spiritual and physical strength"

"Ooh. What are those?" She asks with increased curiosity.

"What are what?" I ask confused

"The spiritual thing and the physical thing?" She asks

Remembering that I was speaking to a child, I decided to take my time and speak to her so I sat down cross-legged on the ground and called her to do the same.

I decided to take my time with her simply because she was a child and children are easier to get through to than most adults.

"It's spiritual energy and physical energy, not things and they are the energy in our body. Spiritual energy is the energy of your mind while physical energy is the energy of your body" I say seriously hoping that she understands and thankfully, it looks like she did.

Unfortunately for me, it doesn't look like she did. She looks at me with question marks all over her head for a while.

"Can you show me?" She asks.

It seems like she decided to forget what she can't understand. Sigh whatever, she's a child after all. I decided to show the Rasengan as a demonstration.

She looks at it with visible stars in her eyes. The villagers around us also seemed to have stopped what they were doing and watched me with amazing expressions.

"Teach me, teach me. Can you teach me, please?" Ria asks.

"Of course little Ria. But if I teach you, you must listen to what I say and be a good girl, okay?" I say while rubbing her head.

She nodded her head but before I could continue, a lady came and grabbed Ria and pulled her up. I noticed her coming but didn't react but now I look at her, she looks really similar to Ria. Guess she's her mother.

As she pulled Ria up she admonished her before facing me and bowing to apologize.

''Forgive my daughter for disturbing you, sir"

I waved my hands and said "Don't mind, don't mind. I like her curious and carefree style. You don't need to apologize"

She nodded her head and left with her daughter. I felt she was scared of me but I don't know the reason why. All the villagers developed that feeling as soon as I showed my Rasengan. It's either they fear the unknown or they are afraid of me in particular.

I will ask the old lady later.

I continued my walk toward the farmland to see if there was anything I could do. Approaching the farmland, I noticed Yuu and some other boys hard at work so I decided to approach them.

Approaching them, they noticed me and stopped working. You, being the only one a little bit closer to me spoke up

"Shun-san, what brings you here"

I waved my hand dismissively and said

"No need for the honorifics Yuu, just call me Shun, after all, we're all the same age. And for what brings me here, I just wanted to work. I don't want to be idle when you are all working"

He nodded his head and said "If you say so Shun. As for the work, pick up a plow and join us"

I joined them to work. At first, I made some mistakes and was corrected by the boys. We got to know each other and they were all nice people. Nobody who works this hard can be a bad person. Afterward, we worked till evening, and we took occasional breaks but I was barely tired. They noticed it and asked how I did it and gave the same answer. They got curious, and I showed them the same thing I showed Ria. I also got to explain it to them.

At the end of the day, we got closer and I promised to teach them how to use chakra first thing tomorrow morning.

The next day came and surprisingly the first person I saw when I came out was little Ria.

She must be excited to know more about chakra. Sigh. curiosity is a bad thing. I decided to bring her along to meet the boys but I wasn't going to unlock her chakra for her until she had her mother's permission.

I just got to this village, I wouldn't want to leave a bad impression this early on.

When I met with the boys, I directed them to sit down cross legged before I directly poured my chakra and circulated it for them before asking them to continue. When they got used to it, we then sat in a circle and circulated the chakra amongst ourselves.

After we completed one circle, I stopped them and told them to get back to work.

After that, I took Ria and proceeded to take a walk around the village. I didn't bother getting into anybody's business but once they talked to me I gave them my undivided attention. After all, I am trying to learn how to live.

Life continued like this for a month.

A week after the boys started refining their chakra, the effects started to show and it attracted the attention of other villagers. The men first approached me as they wanted to be stronger to work on their farm.

I accepted them and unlocked their chakra. While unlocking it, I also taught them some things I learned from Hagoromo when he teaches us. Later, the women and children joined us. Even the old lady, Nanami, joined us.

The effects were astonishing as everyone in the village became more energetic. I didn't teach them any harmful techniques as that may cause more harm than good. This is a farming village. They don't have any fear of dangers like bandits yet so there's no need for that and even if there were bandits, the men and women are already physically strong.

At the end of this month, I learned how to do a lot of things. They've seen me do a lot of things but when they ask to learn I tell them I can't teach them and that they have to discover it by themselves.

One of the techniques I taught them was the Rasengan. I didn't teach it to them for fighting purposes, I only taught it to the men for tilling hard areas of the land.

For the women, I taught the household techniques Indra had created a while back like how to produce little amounts of flame and water.

I know in the future they might weaponize it but I am certain it won't be in this generation. I also taught them the twelve major hand signs.

I wanted to spread my name as a 'Sword Sage' or 'Blind Swordsman' or something that will put my fame at the same level as 'The Sage of Six Paths. I could also take in disciples and teach them some stuff and tell them to pass on my legacy and then, I'll ''die" and my legend will continue down the ages.

Or I could leave it to my prospective clan and hope they don't get wiped out early on, which they won't, and leave some tablet of the scroll for them that will pass on my legacy.

I still couldn't find which part I should take in this. I guess I still need to travel around and meet a lot of people. Maybe the people I meet will create a legend for me

I guess it's time to leave this village. There are no villages in the 100 km radius around me. I still need to be back in the village in a year. I can't miss watching that battle, it's good I left a teleportation mark near the village. Even on the off chance, I lose my sense of direction, I can still make it back.

I met with Nanami who now seemed younger than when I first met her and told them that I would be leaving the village. She urged me to stay more but I remained firm. I decided to leave a manual on how to train the five-element breathing technique and their sword forms with her.

I made sure to write that whoever practices any of these techniques must have the desire to prove and some other bullshit. Not like it'll be relevant later on. I also wrote my name there so I don't get forgotten.

Oh... and I decided on a surname a few days back. I decided to name my future clan Riku concerning the Rikugan. So my name is Riku Shun as of now.

Sounds kinda lame, I know. But it'll be a clan that will surely shake the world.

Little Ria cried when I told her that I would be leaving. I had to console her by telling her we can still talk even if I leave. To be honest, she was like the little sister I never had so I had to pamper her a little.

I had to then create a seal that can enable long-distance communication. I used my wood release to create a wooden token the size of my palm and engraved the seal to it. With that, we could talk over long distances as far as there is natural energy in the air.

The seal was complex and I am sure no one will be able to replicate it even in the future. Even the Uzumaki. I had to find a way to make our voices reach the other token from the other but since I couldn't rely on my chakra alone, I used natural energy.

All she has to do is pour her chakra onto the token and speak. Natural energy will act as a kind of network to connect both tokens similar to modern-day mobile phones.

With this out of the way, I left the village while they sent me off. Honestly speaking, this world is a whole lot better without chakra. No wonder even Kaguya loved the people before they betrayed her.

People are nice, at least the people I have met. I don't know about the future, but right now, this world is nice to be in.
