It's such a shame when a decent story gets completely sidelined by side characters and filler but that's what happened to this webnovel. While it starts decent, focusing on the protagonist and his actions, it has now devolved to explaining every single third or even fourth tier side character, with most chapters not even having the main character appear (only spoken by name by these filler characters). At this point the main character has become a plot device in his own story, periodically appearing to do something cool or be on s*x scenes (which are written extremely corny btw). The story has been completely derailed by these useless side characters that I really don't care about. At this point, I literally use the search function to find the protagonists name to see if I should read a chapter (and even then the protagonist is mostly mentioned by the useless side characters). Another annoying thing the author used to do is start chapters from the middle of an event only to then give us details about what happened in the past (in medias res). This also led me to completely skip useless past explaining segments and made the story quality much worse. Overall it's disappointing that a story that started so high could fall so low, with the protagonist treated as best as a side character or as worse as a plot device. Truly unfortunate.
