Can't mess with the theming.
Er, which one of the attributes wouldn't enhance him in battle exactly? Calling that in the next battle there already will be a description how faster thinking, regen, the telepathic thing or any other will be mentioned how useful it is.
Since when Sunny concerned himself with honesty, a kill is a kill.
Sunny and G3, behind the stage:
He definitely outclassed the saint in the art of killing deep sea baddies. And that is supposed to be the saint's main expertise.
Yeah, and read like a power fantasy. Sunny underwater saves a saint and another master which specialize in these kinds of fights, despite him fighting underwater for the first time in his life.
Didn't he casually wear it for mongrel cosplay?
This whole chapter:
Waiting for the introduction of "True Brightness", "True Contrast", and "True Saturation". Legends say when an Awakened masters all these elements, he'll be able to conjure unimaginable... displays of power.
Er...
I mean...
Wasn't he responsible for protecting LO with the other Ascended? Pretty sure there were many deaths there of people he took responsibility for.
Wasn't second nightmare all about Sunny doing that? He has really selective memory at times.
Now that's just a straight up lie.
The novel was quite enjoyable especially early on. Unfortunately after over 500 chapters I lost all interest due to increasing amount of events and character behaviour that seemed stupid to me and just constantly taking me out of the story - I still hung around for a long time because I was invested, but I can only turn a blind eye to so many instances of this. The further the novel goes, the characters seem less and less like real people, main character becomes less and less relatable as his power grows, behaving like a little kid more often than not, all while other, supposedly mature and important figures, support him in that behaviour. I remember multiple instances in which narrator suggested how the main character becomes more aloof and less emotional to make him seem cooler, only to have him baby rage some time later, and then again narrator is trying to suggest one thing or the other about a character that's clearly not supported by the character's actions. There's been quite enjoyable bits spread over and there are reasons why I read this many chapters, though the final impression as well as this review is rather negative due to my opinion being deteriorated over time. I'm sure a lot of the problems would not be there if more time and care was put into quality, but also I understand that the format encourages breakneck update speed and it's hard to balance one with the other.
