cultivation is literally the worst thing you could have chosen as a cheat. not because it isn't strong but because it feals cheap. the only thing people ever change about cultivation in novels is the names of realms and cultivation methods, the energy being cultivated and what makes the mc's cultivation different from other cultivators. and so far yours isnt much different. now im not saying that its bad because i dont like cultivation, that would stupid of me. all im saying is you should maybe try and stand out a bit in that aspect, for example you kinda fallowed the Chinese naming thing where they give stuff long and cringy name, (or aleast i thought it was cringy lol) and honestly i just dont thing cultivation fits very well in 40k, but i really do think you can make it work so ill keep reading and hope this turns out to be just as good as your other works.

Considering it's Aizen, it's not impossible that he was doing it before he became a captain, Aizen does like to plan for everything and the earlier he has everyone under his control the better it would be for him, obviously he would have had to wait in order to get the captain's under control since i can't think of a logical excuse to show his sword off to the captain's without being a captain himself, trying before that would of seemed off, so id just say he's been doing it on and off since he first became a shinigami, he didn't have reason to get ever single person under control so he most likely just put people he thought would be useful or troublesome under control whenever he got the chance to do so.
