I get the impression Raze would rather be the only mage in existence to give himself a distinct advantage.
Bruh the author is literally a one trick pony. It’s the same thing again and again, ad nauseam.
“He knew more/better* than most.”
I’ve seen this one several times throughout the story. Ironic only ever refers to irony, and not to the metallic properties of iron.

Personally I vote for switching to Adrian. It removes the disconnect from everyone calling him Adrian, but everything else referring to him as Ryan. It can also be used as an indication of him fully accepting this as his life now, since aside from the revenge plot that likely won’t come to fruition for a while he doesn’t seem overly attached to his old life.
One thing I’m super curious about is what value the cores have to everyone else? What can they be used for by people without a system? Given that it’s been stated the legion kept them all during the other beast tides, and the province leader reacted adversely to Ryan wanting to keep half of them from this coming beast tide, I’d assume they’re really valuable. Seems like something the MC would probably be interested in figuring out as well.
This novel is, in a word, fantastic. Despite its, currently, short length it’s likely the most well put together story I’ve seen on this website. The pacing is incredibly well done, nothing feels rushed but neither does it drag at any point. The side characters feel like they actually have personalities and a point to their existence beyond one time plot points. The world feels well thought out and constructed, and yet we aren’t given everything about it right out the gate, instead it feels like we are discovering it with the MC at a natural pace. Speaking of the MC his development is also very well paced. He’s not so weak at the beginning as to be utterly boring, but neither is he so strong it makes every encounter feel like a tedious forgone conclusion. Personality wise he’s also one of the better constructed protag a I’ve come across. He actually makes sense, rather than being insufferably idiotic for the sake of ridiculously lazy plot progression (for that alone I’d give the book a 5*). He learns, he develops both power and personality wise, and the mistakes he makes are realistic. All in all the author has done an exceedingly exceptional job, and I cannot recommend this book enough. I’m very eagerly anticipating more.
Lol what happened to Adrian
Why wouldn’t you want it to look like magic equipment? You can explain it away as a gift for being a good little pet, and use it as an explanation for being more powerful than your 800 power level.
Always a huge fan of the butler ex machina trope
Pretty sure you’re mistaking the meaning with Muay Thai, “art of eight limbs”.
Really? You’ve been giving big incel vibes for chapters now
Only if he actually does the killing. If he throws him to the wolves (zombies) that’s probably a lot of stat points lost. I get the poetic justice of it, but it’s still a huge waste.
It uses less because he’s fully transformed. This was stated once, long ago, in the early chapters so it’s easy to forget.
Shoulda head butted his fist and broke it
