Having a greenish bruise would indicate that she has had that particular injury for a period of time. A little over a week. 1st stage is blue/purple or even black. Then it would be green / yellow and last stage is yellow/brown.

If he couldn't turn on the lights because his hands were full....how did he open the door to their room? Lights are easy, but hotel doors... not always. I do love the scenery that the author created here, though!
