I love reading and I'm always bingeing some new story.

that also makes sense. a third of 40 miles is only 13 and change miles so that's actually pretty close to what a normal person could walk in that time. so it would fit better if the author actually did his research on base level human ability.
wow. can't take something as small as an "evil" creature being a good guy. I hope you never see any of the dozens of movies and TV shows about vampires being vampire hunters.
I'll agree that the little brother wouldn't be at the level of a trained hiker. the mc is a hunter tho. so his body is at least partly on that level. especially as he carried a deer and more all the way back home before. I'm more inclined to believe that either it's a plot hole based on ignorance or that the basic human physique of what's presumably a cultivation world is stronger than ours.
one of the few things that have managed to stay relatively intact about what little realism made it into d&d from the start is the travel speed. 24 miles a day for an 8 hour day of nothing but walking at a normal pace. not accounting for terrain difficulties like thick jungles or major obstacles like impassable canyons that would need to be walked around or climbed through. 2-300 miles is unlikely to be a trip of several weeks unless you are taking days off to rest.
that's a pretty quick assessment for a novel. I won't say the novel doesn't have a bit of repetition in it's plot but not so much as to be tossed from the first 3 chapters.
overthinking it man. had you come by just as soon as the curtains closed they'd have eagerly chosen option 3. lol.
all that work and all he managed to do was trap the players between the edge of the map and the 7th rank abnormalities. lol. wait till they turn around and find themselves boxed in.
"I summoned a skeleton" by KUKORO. Sadly the authors account got hacked. it was a great story till then. another good one although it isn't a pet/summon novel is called "Rise of the Peerless Pumpkinmancer" by CLASSLESSASCENSION. the mc does get a pet fairly early on tho. the author is a bit slow to update at the moment due to irl stuff going on but all his novels are great. I think you already mentioned the only other direct reccomendation I can make for pet (adjacent) novels but if you want some really good cultivation novels then Suiyan has a couple good ones. "Death... and me" as well as "Is that a wisp?"
probably something more like vitality rather than lifespan. but who knows. webnovels can have all sorts of nonsensical things happen. lol
dude. you realize that Africa is a big place and some of the wealthiest people in the world are from there. African isn't a race. neither is European. even looking into the English language black luck is a thing. same for black thumb. depending on the quality of the translation the entire African thing could very well be just a poor translation. hell most modern Americans likely grew up hearing the "you should feel lucky to have (insert food they don't like) to eat. theres starving kids in Africa." line. so like I said. there are several ways to look at this before bringing it straight to racism.
