In all honesty I feel like Darkwood isn’t that bad or I’m just happy with anything besides Bunnies🤷♂️🤣
Every slight touch from now on 😂
It’s what I thought of his daughter saying lol
Dad feed me
Alright so the biggest issue I had with the novel is simply how the MC keeps telaporting all over the place lol. Let me explain by giving you an example from the fifth chapter. This scene starts with the MC hiding in a tree. It’s stated later that he is looking ‘down’ at a group of werewolves who are eating something and there is a girl (not the one he’s contracted with) tied to a tree ‘beside them’. The next action the MC does is ‘turn’ his head to look at the girl ‘beside him’. At first I thought that maybe his contractor had snuck up beside him but I was wrong. The girl ‘beside him’ is the exact same girl that was tied to a tree beside the werewolves. I used this example because its simply the latest one I read. Throughout the entire story, I couldn’t picture how the scenes were playing out most of the time. I don’t have much experience in reading tml translated novels but those that I have read never gave me this issue. I could be wrong, if tml translated novels have these ‘character teleporting’ issues, I’d like to know so I can avoid them.
Down boy
Unless the elf can shapeshift into an animal?
I think my image of an elf is different than the authors? To me an elf would look more human than some animal?😂
A dire wolf and panther as pets is understandable to some degree however, an elf is questionable? Unless this wood elf is female and he’s keeping her as a ‘unique’ type of pet😏
I know this review might come off as bashing so I apologize in advance if it does so. I also want to mention that this review was written after I read up to chapter 27 so there is still a chance the story improves in later chapters. -First I’m gonna explain things I didn’t enjoy and then I’ll explain why you might want to still read it. 1) The writing is Pretty bad, I would give it a 2/5. You can still read the story but don’t expect to be immersed, because you will have to correct a lot of errors as you read. 2) The characters don’t feel like themselves at all. They seem to be there in name and appearance only, while their personalities went out the window. 3) The flow of the story just feels forced and akward to me. There are many moments that scream ‘cringe’ and the writing itself also adds fuel to the fire. -Now for why you might want to still read it. 1) Djinn! If you are a fan of ‘magi’ then you might want to give it a read. 2) If all you care about is a harem then why not give this a shot. Be warned however that there weren’t any ‘R-18’ moments from the chapters I read. If thats what your looking for. 3) The MC is OP and tends to solve all scenarios rather quickly. In fact, the MC never used his full prowess from the chapters I read. Perhaps author was doing this to get to the big moments in ‘fairy tale’ or to just finish the story quickly, I might never know.
