their weakness is grandpa li and mother wu if they were removed from the ppl using them as blackmail would they have any more blackmail material then? yes the damage has been done thats why mother wu is in a mental hospital to cure her mental illess, the only way mother wu isnt recovering is bc wu pang keeps triggering her illness + physical abuse from the mistress & other daughter causing additional trauma. what if mother wu is removed from them + make wu pang give mother wu a supervised visit & threaten him if refuses. then make it so mother wu doesnt need to rely on wu pang anymore until wu mei reads a book about mental illness or whatever stuff was needed to prepare. grandpa li's condition is serious but not really bc he's bedridden but not needing surgery. if he was removed from lin ligou's care (who cant even make grandpa li's condition better) then at least he wouldnt be poisoned + LL cant demand li nanchen to get a divorce and marry LP (idek why LN allows this tbh) and just wait until bi fang arrives. so why dont they remove them from the ppl harming them? even tho they cant be cured right away at least their situation wouldnt get worse or even harmed while the MCs are doing their own things and havent found a solution for grandpa li & mother wu yet. the setting of the story is in the modern era where modern tech like cctvs exist and ppl filming others using their phones for evidence or whatnot but i guess lin ligou is the only doctor in the world who can take care of grandpa li temporarily until bi fang arrives + there are no mental illness doctors in the world that can cure trauma so the only remedy for mother wu is to be kept beside wu pang temporarily until wu mei reads a book about mental illness and performs hypnosis + apparently only M & bi fang can cure these patients in this modern world the author makes this as the MCs biggest headaches but its not that hard to solve if you think about it. as a reader there are times where you can see a solution for the MCs problems. hence my original post: with how the author describes the MCs as smart & decisive + M being an expert at psychological attacks they dont act like it. given the setting of the story the only fiction part i saw was the reincarnation but i see that wu mei being a main character was also the hero of this world and has plot armor as she is the only one who can give solutions to everything. as a reader i saw these things as plot holes. im not complaining tho since plot holes are what's necessary for the story to move the way the authors want i guess. but you kept giving real world justifications for the plot holes while agreeing that this story has plot holes so idk where you're going. if that's the world built by the author then ok. i'll move on and see what happens next 🤷 apparently pointing out the contradictions in the author's description of the MCs and how they act the other way isnt allowed.

M has already detected the poisoning & li nanchen already knows but still wont remove grandpa li from LL's care. isnt that a sign of st*pidity? as for mother wu isnt it the same? when wu pang needs money his other family hurts mother wu to the point that she has bruises and wounds just so wu mei comes home and they can threaten wu mei using mother wu. are you saying then that the MCs had to accept grandpa li being poisoned and mother wu being harmed til she bruises as temporary measures until they find a solution? then why dont they just remove mother wu & grandpa li away from these ppl who use the patients as blackmail material and also harming them? they can just hire doctors or whatever to just keep grandpa li's situation as is while waiting for bi fang but at least he wont be poisoned anymore. and i dont think wu pang is beside mother wu 24/7 in the sanatorium. meaning it's ok not to see him for a while. then make wu pang visit mother wu under supervision until she gets used to not seeing wu pang anymore at least she wouldnt be hurt by the mistress and the other daughter. if they cant use the patients would they still have anything to use as blackmail?? maybe. but the way the author used these situations as the MCs biggest dilemmas just make them look st*pid despite the author describing the MCs as smart & decisive, even M as an expert in psychological attacks. but then again alot of chinese novels have massive plot holes just so the authors can push their narrative and make the story move the way they want. so 🤷

That's the problem wu pang and lin ligou were using grandpa li and mother wu as blackmail material. Then why didn't they just remove mother wu and grandpa li away from these ppl so they wouldn't be used anymore? it's not like they (wu pang & lin ligou) are the only ones who can take care of the patients. In the 1st place grandpa li's illness isn't that hard to cure, it just got worse because of lin ligou's poisoning & mother wu's mental problem gets triggered when wu pang agitates her when he needs wu mei to ask li nanchen for money. The problem was so easy to solve in the 1st place but I guess the MCs needed to be st*pid for the plot.

Idk iirc but i dont think grandpa li's condition was explained but the current doctor is a gambling addict and he's using small portions of poison just so he can keep getting salary from li nanchen just for taking care of grandpa li. Then on wu pang's side the rich one is actually mother wu, that's why wu pang is keeping mother wu on his side even when he has another family because the wu corporation is actually mother wu's and the real wu mei (before M reincarnated) has an arranged marriage with the li family because grandpa li likes wu mei for li nanchen but wu pang is using wu mei just so he can get li nanchen to invest in wu corp because wu pang's other family keep embezzling the corp's money but then the doctor is using grandpa li's illness and keeps asking li nanchen to divorce wu mei and marry his daughter so he can cure grandpa li. It's obvious that ppl around them keep blackmailing them by harming their loved ones but they can't keep them away from the bad guys. It's just so st*pid.
