I love Xianxia and it lowkey still feels more like a wizard novel. Most wizard novels start with the knight path and then keep the theme of “a vessel must be strong to carry a lot of water.”. In the academy you need spirit stones or whatever it’s called and not so much sect contributions. Meditation is a very very basic theme and even Warlock of the Magus world has it. I read a bit ahead of what’s currently translated and it comes together really well with the research themes and bloodline coming together. I do gotta say the eastern themes really enhance the wizard genre, I think the Xianxia influences help make it stand out and different from the Harry Potter type stories I grew up on. If you got this far happy reading, even if you drop this one

Read all the free chapters and I have to say this has a lot of potential. I love these wizard novels and this one breaks the mold in the way it starts, and instead of having an AI brain chip like most of them he has a proficiency system with mysterious origins. Looking forward to see what direction the story goes in, and what benefits that phoenix bloodline and eternal life rune bring

This novel looked great but it has too much potential for racism. I saw another comment where the author spends like 30 chapters having the mc wreck the japanese. The main character was killed by the chinese players millions of times, and then he has patriotism to train them so they don't fall behind other countries Imao. Literally tortured for to death and brought back countless times and he helps his torturers. I stopped around chapter 20 after I saw the other countries ripping on the chinese and MC training the people that made his second life literal hell

It was probably 45 from sending his evil intentions. After he realized it wouldn’t be so easy he most likely gave up, going back to his baseline of 60
