The word count limit didn’t allow me to convey what I wanted to the fullest. Like I was saying, just like how his name has been ingrained to his mind that foggy memory can’t stop him from knowing what it is, Avery has been training for a very long time and one of the things he learned is the effect of oxygen and good air flow is to the body. As such, he knows instinctively what happens when someone has little air/oxygen supply and how the sky is such places where little oxygen supply is prevalent

The Nightmares are trials created by the Spell. They are populated by both monsters and humans, which are considered to be illusory. Each Nightmare contains a central conflict that has to be resolved for the Nightmare to end.
