TBf, the only reason Lambert knows is because he bought the one piece of surviving intel from that time. Not exactly widespread.
The story started off good, but the author seemed to lose direction after he reached the city. The story starts off as single perspective but changes to multiple perspective. I personally don't like multiple perspective, but even this seems excessive since I felt like MC became a background character. There was one point in which there were like 6 perspective shifts in a row separating the MCs perspective. For a character who is beloved by everyone, it seems incongruous that he is basically an asshole. The timeliness seems a bit off. Alot happens in the start of the story and it seems like it takes place over a few days if not weeks but we find out it all happens in one day. I mean, come on. Are you really trying to tell me that he is chased, escapes 1000 miles, is reported to the general, Is refound, fights for his life, knocks a woman unconscious by breaking her neck, she then wakes up, he is reported to the general again, the general sends a bounty to the Mercs, the mercs infiltrate an estate to find out what's going on, MC travels to a city, MC goes to Merc Hall and reveals his identity, Merc Hall calls president and he decides to help MC, Merc delegation goes to MC and negotiations fail, and he attack a tower of mages ... ... ... all in less than a day
1. What dead guy are you talking about, the mother? And Lu Ming is most definitely a victim of his fathers lack of care/assistance/basic decency and his step mothers actual suppression of them. 2. Not only has the son tried to kill him multiple times, disgraced him, and disgraced his mother, but he is also basically the better off version of Lu Ming before the system. He enjoyed everything that should have been Lu Ming’s if his father didn’t abandon him and demanded Lu Mings kidney.
U have to remember that, in Eastern culture, face and standing are considered more important than one’s own life oftentimes, even in modern society. Also, do you really think that MC would be satisfied with simply killing his half brother after everything that happened to him. Only by destroying bros life as MCs life was destroyed would he feel vindication and like he had obtained justice for his mother. I much prefer slowly destroying his life rather than a quick and clean murder by some random gun for hire.
Seeing as how there are no complaints or contests from previous owners, it would be safe to assume that these businesses are all purchased. Furthermore, a lot of these companies were for sale (maybe all of them) and the system likely just bought them rather than take them from the rightful owner. Still unfair, but nowhere near as bad.
