Thank you for the comment! I appreciate it a lot, and I’ll keep it in mind while writing. We won’t see much of Alan soon as Kayn sets out for his journey so I wanted to make his character a little bit clearer since he will play a vital role later down the story. That way you’ll also see how he develops. But as you say, I’ll do my best to not make things as repetitive, and do feel free to speak your mind.
