Claire is the (biological ?) daughter of Bobby Bassett . She is legally adapted as daughter of her uncle Robby Bassett, for financial benefits. her parents have one more child ~ her presumably 'biological?' brother. Robin is biological child of her uncle Robby.
The language is neat and the characterization is clear. This is an action type story with just the right kind of pacing. Try it, It might be just your cup of tea. Good job, author.
It's rare for me to like a romance book. They are not my type. Usually, the characters are almost always overdone .. too cunning, too talented, too powerful .. too annoying.. Fortunately, this book is a rare find where every thing is balanced. hero is overpowered, but not with out peers. Heroine is scheeming but she fails logically ... on top of that, the premise is well set. it's a good read. Recommend it X 100 ...
The story it self is written well. I just happen to hate the characters like the heroine, and progression which oscillates between weeb and victorian. If you like the historical romance, especially one that goes like probably pink, positively pink, predominantly pink ... go for it.
This is my 'go to ' trope. As such, I will like this story regardless of how droll it could get, yet, I found my self loving the story. It's written well, planned well and still has surprises to offer even to a veteran reader like me. Recommend it x 1000 times !
Idea is that he is 'unofficially' on the run. He's sold by his family, and his family is expecting him back at the breakfast ... the guards are at his hideout ... He's just doing any thing he can to stay in the public eye just not get hauled back as a runaway teen.
Around 19 - 20th chapter ...
Lost at which part ?
those evolution theories still hold true for general trend in undisturbed areas! ~ just new beings evolve faster.
The language is clean, and the story is well written. The progression does feel a little slow, but every scene has this sense of needing to be there. it's like slow start leading to an extremely thrilling movie ... Story has that sort of mystery. Try it ! it just might be your cup of tea.
