Wow, he was just a terrible father all around
Wow, been a long time since I read this, but I think it's cus I just really vibed with the progression and overall cultivation in this one. Imo IET has always excelled in terms of the more spiritual/dao aspect in his power systems, and I especially felt that in this one. Additionally, I don't remember there being much superfluous bullsh.it, like stupid young masters, petty drama, annoying tropes, stupid mc, etc, it was quite refreshing actually, especially in the early-mid stages of the novel where it really felt like everyone was on the same side. So, overall very good compared to most modern xianxia imo, but if I were to compare it to novels with actually good writing, it would be below average in most aspects
