I think it said somewhere rhat the shield prevents/lessens damage - nothing about status effects or preventing any non damaging spells such as a freeze one or something

Looking at the destruction he was bringing down on beasts that they would have to spend hours fighting, she knew someone like him wouldn't stay in one place for too long. The idea floating in my mind was to find support skills that were providing boosts specific to the skill type to further increase the damage. An example was a [Lightning Penetration] skill I had seen before that amplified damage dealt by lightning type skills. If I could absorb and keep active cold type support skills, it wouldn't be too far of a dream for the [Frigid Impermanence] skill's power to exceed rank A.
