The best book currently on Webnovel. Quality of writing is better than most, considering most are shitty translations of Chinese works. Progression is slow, but consistent and satisfying. Author doesn't blindly follow tropes, even has the MC be considerably immoral. MC would be one of my favorites as its a kind of realistic interpretation of a character facing many conflicts and troubles. Not a generic MC who blindly does the objective 'good' thing for no reason whatsoever. Love this book, hope to keep reading it for a long time to come.

I think what most readers find fault with is the over reliance on puns and gag humor when nothing much is happening in the story. As great as Ben's quips may be, it stretches on for too long and the humor feels kind of forced. Honestly, I feel the story is most engaging and hilarious when Ben is put into absurd situations and finds unconventional ways to get through it. Almost all the chapters focusing on Ben at his job are great examples of this, and make me look forward to more. Ben's puns and thoughts work best when paired with these situations as it fleshes out his uniqueness, and shows the reader how he uses it to his advantage. Having whole chapters of Ben not doing much except rambling jokes and references is not very exciting in comparison. This is all my opinion based on what I feel about the story, just wanted to type this to let out some of my concerns. I'm not a writer nor claim to be one. Still love the book and will continue to read it 👍. Love your work 😊
