Sadly not for this book. For the UK English, dialogue uses ' '. I did flip it for the latest book to accommodate for US English readers
Hello you lovely people! Welcome to my new book! I have been sitting on this idea for over a year now, and it's only after I finished writing the last book that I have started working on this one! It all starts with Wu, the powerless MC, getting isekaied amidst a political turmoil, and that's where he encountered Lera, who's an up and coming magician with a certain expectation for those that were summoned to this world. However, as the entire underworld is put on notice with a bounty on Wu's head, he came to realize that his journey in a new world is far more intricated and dangerous than it seemed initially. Worse yet, as the title suggested, he has no special power, nor special system to aid him. He is just the normal him, a student from University of Oxford, yet he strives to take the second chance in life and make the most out of his future, no matter how many times he fail. The first season focuses mostly on Wu, the supposed Savior, Lera, his Guardian, and Ver, a bounty hunter. For the best binging experience, I would recommend saving up to read one story arc at a time. I have put quite a bit of effort to build the story and the characters, and things have been planned out for a long time for me, and please let me know your thoughts!
Diving straight into the action with character introductions, the story does pride itself in a rather fast pace. The descriptions are solid and flows from one scene to another. There are occasional grammar mishaps which makes the reading experience a little strange, though doesn't detract from the actual experience of the story. The worldbuilding was layered in through occasional dialogue, sprinkled with just enough frequency. With some fixes in grammar and checks, this story can become much more. Keep it up!
This story starts out with intertwining perspectives from both sides, jumping from one side to another, though the switch is natural and easy to keep track of. The writing excels when specific character interactions played out, with the subtlety of emotions being the key highlights. The descriptive phrases also helped immerse me into the environment. The dialogue seemed like a mix of modern language and British-style posh dialogue courtesy of the royalties backdrop, and it's rather amusing to read for those that enjoys it. There are some occasional grammar mistakes here and there, though it doesn't detract from the flow of the story at all.
Hello you lovely people! Check out my new book too~ It's also heavily anime-inspired with a powerless MC starting from the bottom in an isekai world. A mix of Black Clover and Dr Stone, if you will. Have a good day!
Both are!
unlucky..
Thank you! Hope you enjoy the story!
