Hey author, how about turning the current Invincible War into a training arc for the JL members? I mean, the Marks from other universes are weaker than the original Mark (and possibly weaker than some of the Viltromites from the main universe), so it would be a relatively '''''''safe''''''' way to give the team combat experience against Viltromites.
