Here a really good one i found, while it just basically camouflage on a space marine and look a lot like a salamander, it the closes one i could find, Maybe actually have it so they do just use camouflage so they kind of change it up depending on where they are deploying and you know actually be Tactical like that one little know chapter in 40k.(another in lore reasons would be that Ever planet has different "Dirt" aka soil and Biome)

(also you might want to recheck the chapter i believe you basically repeated a whole paragraph just a little better then the last)

I think DaoistF0kod might have the right idea, but my recommendation is to take some inspiration from minecrafd, I recommend the Humble Dirt Block with it Brown and Green color colors scheme. And name them something that has to with defending, A cool example would be the Sentinels or Guardians (another minecraft inspired name) But they need a Name that inspired to show people that their here to help no just to destroy. that my two Cent at least.
