I believe you are correct. In the old republic game, you can interact with him but I also beleieve it was due to that characters backstory being a descendant. Sort of like how Cade was able to talk to Luke.

Interesting question, if you mean force ghost. I would consider them that, a ghost. To my knowledge, they can interact with objects and people but are corporeal. like in the DLC for Force unleashed where Kenobis ghost could fight and pass through starkiller. Otherwise, something like Qui Gon where he wasn’t able to conjure a body. I consider that a echo of his spirit if that makes sense.

That is a good point and I knew that I wouldn’t be able to do that. So I will most likely have a moment where Palpatine tries to do soemthing to Doom and that’s when he start ripping his plans to shreds.
