There's no racism (so far), a tiny bit of nationalism* and a fairly interesting premise**. Unfortunately It's not worth reading maybe it'll improve but I don't hold much hope. *The nationalism is mild and inside the simulation and none has been shown outside the simulation. **I especially like how the character acknowledges the consequences to everyone's mindset after entering a simulation.
No way...
A refreshingly different cultivation novel. No hot-blooded shounen power ups. No despicable or shameless plans. The Protagonist doesn't throw caution to the wind and scrounge in the muck for every opportunity. Every moment is spent diligently advancing one step at a time over hundreds of years. The relationship between master and disciple is as solid as a rock. His master cares deeply about him and in turn Jiang Lan holds his master in the highest regard. Even if they'll never actually admit it to anyone. The romance and interactions between Xiao Yu and Jiang Lan is sweet as hell too. The system isn't in your face and plays a minor role. Over all it's an easy to enjoy story that doesn't fit the cookie cutter advance at all costs to get revenge the revengening mold.
Jiang Lan that's the wrong sword to slay your fiance with...
Boring. The main character is forgettable with no character traits apart from 'poor weak orphan'. The supporting characters are even worse. There are no hooks in this novel that make me want to read further an absolutely disappointing experience.
Not bad at all.
