Have no particular dislike for your novel. Itās simply on hold for me as of now as there arenāt many chapters to read, along with itās somewhat slower pace. If thereās a single thing Iām not particularly a fan of, itād be how the MC is stated to be an existence to be wary of(OP) and what not, but even up to where Iāve read we readers still have no clear understanding of his strength or standing. I saw you reply to another that you donāt want to bombard us with info-dumps, but there are too many things which are unclear to us and may come off as being overly-mysterious which can be a bit frustrating to read after a period of time in my opinion. When this novel has reached, say 150-200+ chapters, Iād be a lot more inclined to begin reading again as Iām hoping various things will have been answered by then.
Really donāt understand how the MC can see all that he has in his vision, and still go about things like he isnāt facing a crisis. Iād expect him to be taking steps to prevent that future or at least be prepared for it, but his focus is this inconsequential wedding that Iām absolutely sure will end up in disaster.
Storyās concept is intriguing, but leaves much to be desired. Aside from the obvious in relation to the novelās title and Rose being Blakeās Sugar Mommy, the dynamic in their relationship isnāt all that much to my liking at the start. Blake is treated no different from a slave/pet for several dozen chapters before their relationship slowly starts to change for the better, the catalyst being him getting attacked as a means to hurt Rose. Their relationship in a way begins anew at this point and it looks like things will start to take a turn for the best, but then weāre sprung with some nonsense that pretty much halts all of that. Blake is accused of murder and is absent from the story for quite some time as Rose tries to navigate a way out of this predicament but nothing is going her way. Not to mention the switch in POV with other characters and their intimate moments that I honestly could care less about. Read up until the most recent chapters outside of privilege, and Blake still hasnāt been proven innocent while Rose struggles to do anything about it. Reading has been somewhat depressing thus far and my desire to continue any further has waned. Not fond of stories where nothing seems to be going well for the main leads. Primarily came for the romance, and itās been lackluster for some time now. May check up on this in a few months should I remember, but otherwise going to be put on hold until this situation resolves itself.
