I see your point. His affinity could also have dual aspects, the other being creation as one cannot do without the other. It was mentioned by “Nightsedge” and im beginning to lean towards that. Destruction is a lot easier to grasp than its counterpart, hence that’s only what he’s capable of displaying for now. Considering what the Absolute Being stands/stood for, his powers encompassing that much makes sense.

I’m not convinced of that. When Yuan broke past the thousandth layer during his during his ascension, he encountered a silhouette where within its body held countless stars and galaxies, as though his body was condensed of the universe. That being was definitely the Absolute Being. Now I’m supposed to believe that his affinity that resembles galaxies, as if he’s holding the universe within the palm of his hand has no correlation to that?
It’d make some sense. She already see’s him as a growing threat to Eternals, and him gaining the ability to kill them would definitely warrant her killing intent. That too while he’s still weak, there’s no better opportunity than now. It’s just a matter of if she goes through with it as he’s her most likely chance at regaining her body. Wouldn’t even blame her if she attempted to do so as it’d be like a knife hanging over their heads.
Honestly doubt Shiva will be upfront about it. If she so quickly, without any hesitation wanted to kill him before he realizes whatever she was referring to, feel like we’ll be left in the dark for some time before we’re aware of what it is.
It’s been apparent for a long time that Yuan acquired the power, only reinforced as the story has progressed. Now that he’s slowly turning into an Eternal, having stepped onto that path, it’s not too farfetched to believe that wherever it lay dormant within him, various catalyst have led to this moment. Realistically speaking, everything Shiva has said stated to be impossible for mortals aren’t applicable to Yuan for obvious reasons. What’re these lots of things? What else would warrant her being horrified/terrified to the extent she develops killing intent “before he realizes”? Unless this particular affinity is a natural antithesis of Eternals? Now that would be interesting. Definitely did jump to conclusions a bit, but I can’t see much else having spooked her so much that we haven’t been made aware of.
She most definitely recognizes it as the Absolute Power, or rather the affinity aligned with it. Nothing else would evoke that type of reaction out of her, especially considering she deeming the phenomenon as impossible. I’d go out on a limb to say, she’s referring to the act of a mortal acquiring that power they’ve sought after for so long.

Not worried about their opinions. I was more-so referring to those with standing within the highest heavens or rather everyone who decided to attend the banquet. Not like it’d affect Yuan, but situations like that are generally irksome due to how cliched they’ve become.
Sincerely hope it’s before the banquet as I could do without him being looked down upon even more unnecessarily than he already is due to his era being long past. Can already imagine the discourse should he show up like this. “Just an old man with one foot in the grave”. Or something along those lines.
