It’s a very alright novel. The writing is not very fluid and the author forces many story events without setting them up properly, resulting in a lack of cohesion throughout. Also, some of it can be extremely cringey at times. With that said, it’s more original than the rest of the garbage on this app so it deserves credit for that.
It’s a well-written book with nice details, but the plot feels pretty convoluted for no good reason. The pacing is jumpy and weird, and on 3 separate occasions I’ve had to double back and read old chapters to figure out what’s happening, which is something I don’t have to do for good books. Also, the main character isn’t likeable, which is an automatic F in my book.
I’v reviewed this before but gosh, this novel is phenomenal. I’m caught up and read every release, and it is genuinely one of the highlights of my day. Author, you deserve heartfelt appreciation for the masterful use of language in this novel. Your style is distinct and truly enjoyable. The plot is unpredictable and gripping, and Sunny is a brilliant character. I wish you all the best and am happy to be seeing a future s++ tier novel in the making.
My thoughts EXACTLY. LOTM is in a class of its own for translations, and this (at least personally) is the same for original works. This novel has, with no sarcasm, ruined every other work on this site for me. Everything is just trying to fill the void that this novel leaves with me every time I finish the most recent chapter.
This has a good plot, but is unfortunately hurt by a severe obsession with story arcs that are unrelated to the MC. There are also WAY too many flashbacks. It makes the story difficult to read. I’m at chapter 30 and have skipped over literally half of this novel just because of huge filler content.
The worst part is probably that it’s literally the most predictable ending, unfortunately.
Lmao condensing the story just makes it worse. The pacing is slow but there’s no filler. Every chapter is necessary. The author took their time with the world and it shows.
This is a really, really good novel. I won’t say top tier, but as far as light reading goes this is absolutely an example of a well written novel. The story is easy to follow, characters are pretty likeable, and while the jokes become a tad cringeworthy at times the author makes up for it with an exciting plot and good fights. Good work. RIP Drahma.
Which is something that everyone figured out by now, as seen in an earlier chapter
Zirani mentioned that she’s asleep when inside him, so they probably can choose to turn off awareness
