yea, most readers aren't as clever as they think. don't realize the minimum to win or gain experience is fine, but the main goal is not to show the full capabilities thus giving away how much is needed to beat you for sure, and just how much more of a gap they have than even the next bests. all a matter of degree.
All a matter of degree. don't show full capabilities. The minimum to win is fine.
Didn't necessarily flip it. The only other option was to force her to lose on purpose. the minimum goal here is to not show the absolute max capability they have so enemies don't know just what level of opponent is needed to beat her. all they know now is what she showed. it was inevitable to surprise no matter her level unless she had to lose. that could have adverse mental effects though.
I have read the whole thing. It is a fantastic. I believe it's worst part is the beginning when you don't have all that much fleshed out yet and the character although ok is yet to fully grow into his role more. He has the fundamental principles of a good teacher, but eventually really grows into it even more. Maturing. His students all have fun and unique personalities, enemies and allies all have unique personalities as well. There is romance, but it takes until VERY late in the novel before it blooms into a full on physical and fully committed relationship. Tons of plot twists and surprises that are drip fed throughout the entire thousand plus novel, but only near the end do you get a full blow, unexpected, and interesting reveal that connects all the dots in a satisfying way. This ranges from certain items and activities discovered throughout, but also the motives purposes and traits of a great number of different characters and factions. It all comes together really well. Really good story, but it is a slow burn to get started. I almost did not get past the first 50-200 chapters. I forget how long it took to get into it, but somewhere in there I think. It has a fulfilling finish though, so I am not disappointed.
you seem to have a lack of insight into other cultures. just because he is from a higher status or whatever it is and acts as such to some degree does not mean he is not friends. even kings had friends, otherwise no one would support them in the first place to make and keep them as kings. just some customs influence things in how one acts to varying degrees and the nature of friendship can be very varied. there isn't just one ideal way to treat friends. some people just gel together differently, they themselves understand what those looking in on them do not.
you haven't read much of these stories have you? paintings can do so pretty crazy stuff in them. make creatures come to life that you paint, make entire real worlds you can go to on them and all typea of stuff.
Aren't you quite sheltered... all types of young kids that have done horrendous crimes.
ohhh idk... maybe within others territories? Not really rocket science.
probably meant incident.
think it through... while he was dumbed down he didn't understand stuff much. either main character can perceive those memories properly unlike the dumbed self, or they are still a blur and he needs to personally experience and see who is against him because those memories were not good enough to properly get and understanding of the situation because the dumber self perceived them poorly in the first place.
