You might be thinking too hard about it. It’s just a story, it doesn’t always need to make sense. Sometimes things follow logic, and sometimes they drift far from it. And that’s okay. Maybe someone just wants a big ol’ house tucked away in the woods. No grand reason. Just because it calls to them. When you’ve got money and land, the rules bend. You can build castles in the trees or staircases that lead nowhere. Practicality takes a back seat to possibility. If it can be done, then sometimes... that’s reason enough. Stories aren’t always about what’s real, they’re about what feels real, or strange, or beautiful. They live where logic ends and imagination begins.
