I read further, but it just didn't get better. The backtracked explanations were even more unbelievable than the original plot holes.

As many have said, the concept is interesting and the story starts reasonably, but it continues to go downhill as the story progresses. Contrived and generic.

This was an absolute hot steaming pile of garbage. I really tried to give it a chance, but there is no redeeming qualities for this novel.
