Not if the rules for the skill is not random - but based on the skills used AND what they might need. Heal and requiring ranged heal. Wind control- used on spear- wind arrow. They are using wooden weapons- they need a smith.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren’t most children of rich parents designer babies born in test tubes and not in the stomach? Was Gloria actually pregnant ? Couldn’t both the male and female provide the small parts to a machine to grow the mech? Or even be installed into a new mech by the mech designer , making it a child of 2 other mechs?

Inteligence work isle that. Especially the agents of a second class clan against first class and second class 1000 year dynasties. She probably stops a hundred threats for every 10 she fails to.
