I think mage with higher endurance is better. Last longer in survival and escaping. It not that endurance mage can take hit more. But endure in long term battle without worsening it battle performance such is in offensive and defensive. If magic in this novel can cure mind fatigue, consider my advice invalid.
There was also a reason why Gurney Lawrence pointed out that "mages should be tanky" and "stability is key".
