I should have written the comment for the next paragraph then where it was written there that her mother was Indian and her father was Christian and that she respects both religions. I do get her point that her Hindu practices and belief were from her Indian mother's influence but the way it is being worded sprt of gives the connotation that being Indian and affiliating with the Hindu religion are one and the same.
